Falling under the 61st MSS, the Force Support Squadron contributes to the Air Force mission through programs that support overall military readiness and enhances quality of life for Air Force members and their families. In addition to active duty personnel and their families, many of the division's programs and facilities are available to Guard and Reserve personnel, Air Force civilian employees and military retirees.
The FSS at LAAFB is responsible for a consolidated club, child development center, youth center, community center, two fitness centers, Air Force Inn, outdoor recreation offering equipment rentals and adventure trips, a ticket and information office, and a heated outdoor pool open seasonally.
