Greeting from Honduras

Los Angeles Air Force Base -- My deployment at Joint Task Force-Bravo, in Honduras, has been a blast. Where else would I get to minister to our troops in the Air Force, Army and Navy in a deployed setting but also get to visit orphanages and minister to children as if I was a missionary?

I have had my heart stolen by a bunch of dirty-faced little "young-uns." What a blast! What is so cool about it is that I am just one of many military members who love going to the see these beautiful children. When the children see the military vans drive up, they start jumping up and down anxiously for us to get out and play. They live in such terrible conditions so when you give them just a little toy or even a toothbrush, they are thrilled. But if you will spend time with them and love them, they give so much more love back.
I've been honored to have been able to minister to the troops in Honduras, Panama and Belize. I saw God use me to minister to people from one end of the spectrum to the other. He used me to minister to troops after the tragic death of two young soldiers and He also used me to conduct a marriage. I got the privilege to preach at several high profile services and speak to a group of local Honduran teachers. I counseled hundreds of men and women connected to the military and three missionaries from the states who had several in their group killed during a vehicle accident. My heart was overjoyed while being hugged by a little boy and girl at one of the orphanages and heartbroken when I remember where they live.

I look forward to getting back home. I can't wait to be with my beautiful bride, my awesome children and my brother and sisters back at Los Angeles Air Force Base; but my time in Honduras will always be one of the highlights of my life.

God Bless you.
