LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. --
2nd Lt. Annamarie Pruhsmeier

Directorate/Unit: SMC/ADGO

Duty Title: Satellite Operations Mission Manager

Years in Service: 1 year

Time on Station: 1 year

Hometown: Maple Valley, Wash.

Goals: To teach mathematics at the Air Force Academy

Hobbies: Hiking, rugby, kayaking

Greatest achievement: Managing the $2.4 million O&M contract for Cloudsat and C/NOFS satellites, diligently overseeing 4.8K satellite contact while maintaining a stellar 97 percent contact success rate.  She also drove an 11-member emergency satellite ops team to recover the attitude control system anomaly on C/NOFS.  This was vital to the satellite collecting first of its kind upper-atmosphere data as the satellite reentered into the atmosphere.

What others are saying (Commander's Comment): "Lt. Pruhsmeier is a consistent A+ performer with in-depth operations knowledge and incredible initiative. She will be sorely missed in AD as she moves on to her next role at the life-cycle management at Peterson AFB," said Lt. Col. Heather Bogstie, SMC/ADGO branch chief.
