Col. Joseph Schwarz, 61st Air Base Wing commander, participated in the groundbreaking for a new Fisher House on the grounds of the VA's West Los Angeles campus.  The Pacific Palisades American Legion Post 283 donated $2 million to project that broke ground July 1.  In times of need, the Fisher House provides the opportunity for family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times -hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury. Los Angeles Air Force Base's Pacific Crest Housing Area Base Housing Privatization Town Hall Meetings to be Held
Two town hall meetings are scheduled for July 26 to discuss signing leases for on-base housing units. The meetings will be held 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Daedalian Room, Bldg. 270 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fort MacArthur Community Center. The deadline to sign a lease is Aug. 1.
