LIEUTENANT COLONEL JIMMY J. JEOUN

Lt. Col. Jimmy J. Jeoun is the commander of the 61st Civil Engineer and Logistics Squadron at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California. He leads the U.S. Air Force's only squadron combining installation civil engineer and logistics readiness functions. In this capacity, Lt. Col. Jeoun provides facility sustainment and development, emergency management, supply, transportation, and deployment support to the Space and Missile Systems Center and its 5,200 personnel. The squadron manages more than $40 million in annual contracts, projects, and services to ensure operation of a $1.3 billion physical plant, enabling the $9 billion-per-year acquisition and sustainment of satellites and associated command and control systems.

Lt. Col. Jeoun entered the Air Force in 2000 as a graduate of the Air Force ROTC program at Colorado State University. He has served at multiple levels of command, including assignments on the Seventh Air Force and Air Force Space Command staffs. His operational experience includes deployments to Jordan, Qatar and Afghanistan. Prior to his current position, Lt. Col. Jeoun served as the Engineer Joint Working Group Lead for the Regional Force Management and Future Operations Directorate, The Joint Staff, Norfolk, Virginia.
